Choco Peanut Butter Bar safety

All of us at Honest Foods are concerned about the peanut butter safety issue being discussed in the press. We have one product, our Whole Food Choco Peanut Butter Bar, that contains all-natural peanut butter. However, we have confirmed with our manufacturer that our ingredient sources are not from the contaminated facilities known to the public thus far.

We are staying up to date on any further developments, and we will inform you via this blog if any new information arises. For any questions issues or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at 858-793-3663 and mshaw@honest-foods.com.

  • Thanks for the update! I was rummaging through my refrigerator after I got off work to throw out any and all products that had peanut butter in them.

I’m glad to know that Honest Foods is proactive when it comes to communicating to their customers about any concerns they may have.

  • Hi Stephanie,

The FDA recently expanded the scope of the well publicized peanut butter recall to include granulated and roasted peanuts. In an abundance of caution and consistent with the FDA’s recommendation, we are holding all orders of our Choco Peanut Butter Baked Whole Food Bars. Although we are confident that these bars (formerly known as Country Squares) do not pose any health risks whatsoever, we ask that you not consume them. Within the next 48 hours, we will be announcing a formal voluntary recall process. We will continue to update this site with all developments as they occur. In the meantime, do hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

    Best of health,

    Mariel Shaw
