The FDA recently expanded the scope of the well publicized peanut butter recall to include granulated and roasted peanuts. In an abundance of caution and consistent with the FDA’s recommendation, we are proceeding with a voluntary recall of our Choco Peanut Butter Baked Whole Food Bars (formerly known as Country Squares). No known illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the bars.
If you have any unopened Choco Peanut Butter bars in your possession, we ask that you not consume them. You are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. The “best buy” dates (imprinted on the individual bar packages) that are subject to recall are: October 1st, 2007 – November 30th, 2009.
Please note that the Choco Peanut Butter Bar is the only Honest Foods product under recall; other flavors and varieties of Honest Foods products are not affected.
